Panti Police Barracks at adekunle Yaba on fire

As at 2pm today, the police barracks at Adekunle Yaba is on fire. Presently there is no fire service truck to put out the fire, though there is a fire station just opposite the building which is been used by the Lagos State Government.

Necessary authorities should please respond.

EFCC arrests former PDP acting chairman, Uche Secondus

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested the immediate past acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus.

According to The PREMIUM TIMES, The party’s director for new media, Adeyanju Ayodeji, said the EFCC accused Mr. Secondus of receiving buses illegally, and demanded he returned them.

MTN pays N50bn out of N750bn fine imposed by NCC. Withdraws suit against NCC.

The suit MTN had against the Nigerian Communications Commission has been withdrawn by the telecommunications giant, and out of the N780 billion fine, N50 billion has been paid so far as reported by The Cable.

Indian village bans unmarried women from having cell phones

A village in India imposed a ban on unmarried women and minor girls from owning cell phones.
Women found in violation of this ban will be fined about $30 while the person who reported the offense will receive a reward of almost $3.
