A Robot that makes it's wearers able to walk again.

Meet the Hybrid Assisted Limb (HAL). A robot that makes it's users carry weights twice as much as their own weight and also assists elderly people without the ability to walk.

CEO of Cyberdyne Inc., maker of the robot, Yoshiyuki Sankai has said three sizes will be in mass production, small, medium and large. This year, requests have come in from hospitals and other care facilities both in Japan and abroad. It has been estimated that 500 units will be produced a year. We hope this will bring succor to both health workers and patients alike.

More photos after the cut.

We are probably looking at people beginning to have the Iron Man strength soon ;)
